Board & Committee Information
Co-Leaders Angela Hoisington & Sara Masarik
The co-leaders are responsible for programming and presiding at all chapter and board meetings, coordinating the chapter calendar, preparing agendas for chapter and board meetings, working with committees, and making sure all areas of the local chapter’s activities are covered, either by doing the work themselves, or by delegating tasks to others.
Membership Committee Jessica Abnet, Chair
The membership committee is responsible for responding to inquires from prospective members, following-up with prospective members who have attended an event as a guest, update and maintain the membership database and coordinate due with Nationals.
Welcoming Committee Melissa Bowman & Dawn Spang, Chairs
The welcoming committee is responsible for welcoming new members and guests at meetings and events, sending out new member packets and coordinating new member events.
Social Committee Cori Marinan, Children’s Chair Larissa Feenstra & Amanda Rasmussen, Mom’s Chairs
The social committee is responsible for organizing and planning social events for moms and kids like: Mom’s Night Out, Kids Events, Couples Events, and Family Events.
Sunshine Committee Michelle Schrader, Chair
The Sunshine Committee keeps updated on members who may be in need of assistance, coordinates meal deliveries, keeps a log of members who have assisted and writes articles for the newsletter (and loop emails when appropriate) thanking members and sharing good news.
Fundraising Committee Sarah Young, Chairs
The Fundraising Committee researches possible fundraising options and presents them to the board for input and a vote. The Fundraising Committee may coordinate with a fundraising company. The Fundraising Committee will post notices in the newsletter and on the eloop and promote current fundraisers at monthly meetings. The Fundraising Committee will collect all paperwork and money pertaining to their fundraisers as well as distribute any products upon arrival. The Fundraising Committee shall report financial gains to board members and co-leaders in a written report.
Advocacy & Community Outreach Committees Carey Wickman & Christian Kime, Chairs
The Advocacy Committee will provide opportunities for internal and external education on issues affecting sequencing women. The Community Outreach Committee will assess the interests and resources of the chapter and match community outreach programming to those interests. As much as possible, the charitable/service activites should encourage interaction between members and other mothers in the local community.
Publicity Committee Laura Kaste, Chair
The Publicity Committee shall coordinate the release of press releases, newspaper articles/media attention, and organize the distribution of flyers and brochures for our organization & events.
Annual Dinner Committee Chair to be announced
The Annual Dinner Committee will help to plan and implement our annual dinner bash. This committee is not restricted to board members and is always interested in new volunteers! Please contact a co-leader if you would like to join.
Secretary Vicki Hunt
The secretary will take notes to capture the essence of and important information at monthly meetings. She will then summarize the meetings for articles for the newsletter and website when relevant. The secretary will maintain a binder from all past meetings which will contain notes as well as any handouts.
Treasurer Jennifer Barrgren
The treasurer will hand all deposits, payments and reimbursements for the chapter. She will balance the checkbook, maintain the budget and prepare monthly reports for the board.
Historian* Denise Lamberg
The Historian will capture events and routine Mothers and More activities through photography.
Newsletter Coordinator Shelley Karnz & Jenny Nichol
The newsletter coordinator will edit, publish and distribute the chapter’s monthly newsletter and calendar.
Website and E-loop Coordinator Sangeeta Nair
The web and e-loop coordinator will update and maintain the local webpage including the monthly posting of the newsletter. She will maintain the e-loop group membership and use the loop to notify members of updates to the web or changes to the loop. The web and e-loop coordinator will maintain the photo directory.
